"The Weight Of Oppression" - Paulo Zerbato/2010

"Fragments of a Post-War Child" - Paulo Zerbato/2010

by Γιάννης Ρίτσος
Posted - 06/02/2012

CULTIVATING PEACE OF MIND
Letting go of striving to be something other than we are
Published on October 2, 2009
by John P. Forsyth, Ph.D.

Peace of mind is something we all seem to want, and want more of. Few of us get it, and when we do it tends to be fleeting. I think the reason has something to do with how we think of "peace of mind." It is not something we can have and hold, but it is certainly something that we can learn to cultivate and allow to grow.

How do we do that? Here are a few steps.

1. Allow yourself time to just sit, without distractions, without something to do, or a place to go. No multitasking.

2. Use that time for you and get curious about your mind and experience just as it is. Look into your experience and just watch the goings on between your ears and in your heart. There is nothing to do, no state to achieve. Just practice being exactly where you are just as you are.

3. Notice the urge to change the experience or to pull out. These are the red flags that your old history is showing up, with all the old habits that compelling you to change your mind and body. In short, to be something other than you are. These habits are the fuel for struggle, and if you practice just noticing them as thoughts and urges, reminders of the past --"ah, there's my old history, or there's a thought that..." -- you interrupt the old programming and disarm it.

4. If it helps, you can breathe into each moment and imagine leaning into it with a sense of curiosity and with a kind intention to just watch and be at peace. As you do that, you can watch and let go with each in breath and out breath.

Continue this practice for as long as you wish and end with the intention to be present with your mind and body just as it is just where you are, without fighting it, struggling with it, or changing it. When you do that, you are practicing peace and kindness for yourself. This is a skill that will become more automatic over time and something you can do where ever you find yourself.

Remember peace of mind is not something we have, it is a choice to lay down our arms and stop fighting our own experiences. This will help give you the presence and clarity to consider what you would like to do, what you would like to become, what you would like to be about in this life.

Practice peace of mind and see what happens over time. Make it a choice.

With a Kind Heart
John P. Forsyth

Tìm hiểu về Triệu chứng rối loạn đa nhân cách – Dissociative Identity Disorder
30/03/2012
By Ngoc T

God! Please Give Me A Daughter

Illustration for the website: Kanwarkang.com
(India)

A desparate feelings of separation of a father and his daughter on marriage day. They are remembering the time they spent together since her childhood.

When she opened her eyes, I saw in her eyes, total recognition, unconditional love and complete trust. By looking at her and feeling the love and tenderness she brought in my life, my stresses and burdens of life were relieved. My mind and heart was full of hopes, thoughts and dreams for her that how she might feel the world when grown up. I remember and recorded her each moment, her first smile, her first word, her first step. She tought me how to play, see and rediscover the life again.

As days and year passed, I was amazed to see her transform into an elegant young lady in her own special way.

Babbul tere da dil, kare dheeye meriye ni ....

(O, My daughter! the heart of your Father wishes)
Doli tenu kade na bithavaan ! ..

(not to pay you farewell ever !)

Saada rahey gudiyan patoley ne tu khed di.....
(I wish you continue to play with the Dolls forever,...)
Chuk chuk godhi ch khidavan!
(and always make you play in my lap !)

Babbul tere da dil, kare dheeye meriye ni..... !

Hovey na jawaan kade bhul ke !
(I wish) you may never become an adult !)
Tere budey baap kolon, toreyaa nahi jana tenu

Roeya ve nahi jaana methoon khul ke !
(and it wouldn't be easy for me to weep loudly !)

whome ever body stares at !)

Bani de shaloka vaangu suna ni !
I have been listening like verses of the Holy book !)

( I want to sacrifice upon you; all the Happiness of the World
dukh tere phulaan vangu chunna ni !.....
I want to pluck your sufferings like flowers)

modey naal laa ke tere, Rab jahey mukhrrey nu.......
(Keeping your God-like face on my shoulder,
saari raat loriyaan sunavaan !
I want to sing lullaby all nights)

Babbul tere da dil kare dheeye meriye ni.........

Peraan ch panjeebaan tere, hathaan vich churriyaan
(Anklets on your feet, and bangles on your arms,
Vehrey vich rehn shankondiyaan !
may always remain jingling in my Yard !)

Jivain kise devta di aarti utaarey koi
(Like someone paying reverence to the God
Subha shaam rehen sadha gaundiyaan !
may always remain ringing day and night !)

Sariaan dhiyan de dukh menu lag jaan raaba .........
( O God, bestow me the sorrows of all the daughters,
Ehnaan nu na lagan hawaavaan !
(so that) they should not feel any chill (suffering) !

Oppression…Spiritual Oppression

"Oppression" - Paulo Zerbato/2010

OPPRESSION…SPIRITUAL OPPRESSION
By: Jeremy Maddox 2012

".......Here is a detailed account of the experience and the points that I rolled away with from this morning’s experience.

1. I noticed that the attack wasn’t violent per say. Some of the attacks I experienced as a student at Indiana State University were indeed somewhat violent. There, I’ve had what felt like burning hands covering my mouth and choking me at the throat. I was simply restrained in this attack as in “don’t go anywhere, stay put.” Stay in Indiana, work for the rest of your life, compete with your peers over nothing, hate somebody because they did something positive, lie about accomplishments, and wake up everyday envious of things that are superficial and useless.

2. The thing that spoke “oppression” in this spiritual attack was that as I was pinned and locked into place, the hands that were restraining me were cold. Very cold! To this date, I’ve never felt anything like that. A very strange cold is the only way I can describe it because you have to keep in mind that the room temperature was 74°F since we had the heat on with no type of cool/cold air circulating from anywhere.

3. This is the first time I actually struggled in an spiritual attack. Usually I can mutter Jesus or God, and the happenings stop almost instantly. This time, I didn’t immediately call on God, I physically tried to push these cold hands off of me and free myself to touch and get Jada’s attention who was literally less than 2 inches away from me. As I was trying to free myself, I was immediately and aggressively overpowered and put right back into position. At this point, I was alert and conscious, but not fully awake. I started to call the name of God out loud, but it actually started out and sounded like gah…ga…guh…gaa as I was being restrained with the feeling of a muted/muffled voice.

4. I was finally able to say “God” and immediately this oppressive “thing” lifted itself off of me. By this time Jada was awaken by my attempts to call out the name of God. She witnessed the last part of the episode and told me that she literally saw goosebumps rising on my arms where I explained I felt cold hands.

5. When I fully awoke, I started to pray out loud, and as soon as I was done praying the heater (which I believed to have created this atmosphere of the attack…long story, just roll with me) turned off in sync after I said “Amen.” Interesting.

In conclusion, I do pose this 3 tiered question, that there is most likely no answer for. The Church of God (national) is headquartered in Anderson, IN (central Indiana). The first part: Am I the only witness to this oppressive cycle in central Indiana, or is this a figment of my imagination locked away in my own mind? The second part (In assumption that others recognize this cycle): Is central Indiana oppressive because of the Church of God being headquartered there? The third and final part: Is the Church of God strategically headquartered in central Indiana as a response to the oppressive state of this region?...."
